Fixplatz

Planned for WU Vienna, TU Wien and the medical universities

On time for registration. For the place you want.

Fixplatz tries to register you for your preferred course or group as registration opens. If your first choice is already full, it moves straight on to the next one.

Join the waitlist How it works
Registration opens 09:00:00
  1. Group A Monday, 08:00 full
  2. Group C Tuesday, 10:00 registered
  3. Group F Thursday, 14:00 not needed
Example: choice 1 is full, so Fixplatz registers you for choice 2 and checks in the university system that the registration really holds.
The problem

Whoever clicks first gets the place.

Many registrations are first come, first served. The slots that fit your job, your commute or your friends are gone while you are still reloading and clicking through menus.

On time

Fixplatz is ready at opening time and registers you without hesitation.

With a plan B

You rank up to five courses or groups. If one is full, the next one is tried right away.

Verified

Success only counts once the university system shows your registration. A click alone is not enough for us.

How it works

Three steps to be ready

This is how it works from launch. The waitlist is open now.

  1. Install the extension

One click in Chrome. Then choose your university and buy credits.

  2. Rank your choices

Open your university’s registration page as usual, pick up to five courses or groups in your order and arm Fixplatz.

  3. Fixplatz registers you

At opening time Fixplatz registers you for the best available choice, checks the result in the university system and lets you know.

Two ways

In your own browser or on our server

Default

In your own browser

  • Runs in your own browser, where you are signed in to your university.
  • We never get your university password.
  • Shortly before opening, Fixplatz checks that you are still signed in and warns you in time.
  • Your computer needs to be on, online and plugged in at opening time.
Coming later

On our server

  • Your laptop can stay closed, Fixplatz handles the registration for you.
  • Comes later, and only where your university’s sign-in allows it.
  • Comes after launch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will I definitely get my place?

Nobody can promise that, because places are limited and others register at the same time. Fixplatz registers you on time and falls back to your other choices. If none works out, you pay nothing.

Does Fixplatz need my university password?

No. By default Fixplatz runs in your own browser, where you sign in to your university yourself. We never get your password.

What do I need to do at opening time?

Nothing, as long as your computer is on, online and plugged in and the browser with the registration page stays open. Shortly before, Fixplatz checks that you are still signed in and tells you if something is wrong.

When does a registration count as successful?

When the university system shows, after submission, that you are registered for one of your chosen courses or groups. Only then is a credit used.

Does Fixplatz also switch or cancel registrations?

No. Fixplatz only registers. It never swaps groups and never deregisters you.

Is Fixplatz connected to my university?

No. Fixplatz is an independent service and is not affiliated with any university. Your university’s registration rules still apply.

What happens to credits I do not need?

They stay available for later registrations. If you no longer want to use them, we refund them on request.

When does it start?

The planned start is with the February 2027 registrations. Join the waitlist and we will email you as soon as Fixplatz is ready for your university.
